Medical Social Services

What Are Medical Social Services?

Medical social services refer to activities that help a patient or the patient's family deal with worries about the patient's health, finances, or other personal issues. These activities may include problem-solving and/or resource identification to address the patient's or the patient's family's concerns.

Medical social services are provided by social workers in the outpatient division.  Each social worker that is assigned is responsible for providing the best care and service to each patient.
